1849 Queen Victoria Godless Florin About Uncirculated Coin
£475.00
The 1849 Queen Victoria Godless Florin About Uncirculated Coin is a notable example of early Victorian British silver coinage. Featuring the young head portrait of Queen Victoria, the famous “Godless” florin was introduced in 1849 and omitted the usual religious reference from the monarch’s titles. Graded About Uncirculated, this example retains excellent detail and attractive original lustre.
A fascinating addition to collections of Queen Victoria coins and Victorian silver florins, the 1849 Godless Florin combines distinctive design with an important chapter in British numismatic history. Ideal for collectors of Victorian silver coins, pre-decimal currency, early florins and historic British coinage.
