A 2014 UK £2 coin issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War in 1914.
The reverse features a portrait of Lord Kitchener inspired by the famous wartime recruitment poster, accompanied by the inscription “YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU” and the dates “1914–1918”. The edge inscription reads “THE LAMPS ARE GOING OUT ALL OVER EUROPE”.
