A 2009 UK £2 coin issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of celebrated Scottish poet Robert Burns.
The reverse features lines from Burns’ famous song Auld Lang Syne, presented in a handwritten style: “We’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet, for auld lang syne”. The design is accompanied by the dates “1759–1796”, while the edge inscription reads “SHOULD AULD ACQUAINTANCE BE FORGOT”.
