2007 Abolition Of The Slave Trade Circulated £2 Coin

8.00

A 2007 UK £2 coin issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act of 1807.

The reverse features the date “1807”, with the zero represented by a broken chain link to symbolise the ending of the British slave trade. It is surrounded by the inscription “AN ACT FOR THE ABOLITION OF THE SLAVE TRADE”, while the edge reads “AM I NOT A MAN AND A BROTHER”.

An important commemorative issue marking a significant event in British history and a great addition to a collection of modern UK £2 coins.

This example is in circulated condition and may display general signs of handling, marks and wear consistent with circulation.
