¥5.00

A 2006 UK £2 coin issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of renowned British engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

The reverse features a section of the impressive arched roof at Paddington Station, one of Brunel’s most recognisable engineering achievements. The design also includes the name “BRUNEL”, the date “2006” and the denomination “TWO POUNDS”. The edge inscription reads “SO MANY IRONS IN THE FIRE”.

One of two Brunel-themed £2 coins released in 2006, this distinctive commemorative issue is a great addition to a collection of modern British coins, railway memorabilia or engineering-themed items.

This example is in circulated condition and may display general signs of handling, marks and wear consistent with circulation.
